It matters. From the picture, the land looks either dry or sandy.

P.S., In my yard (in NJ/Zone 7/Wet), they are moderately fast growing.

Coastal North Carolina... there are about a gajillion crape myrtles around here and they get big! But yes, dry and sandy. Maybe I should water it more. I've been watering the Miamis more because they physically look like they need water. But this natchez hasn't never looked wilty.

and for some reason.. this one is behind the others.. so be it.. it otherwise looks fine ..

not to mention the odds of it being mislabeled.. for all we know it might be some dwarf .... especially if you got it at some bigboxstore ...

just like children.. you cant get a hate on for one of them.. if it grows slower than the others.. lol

I see some open spots in your yard. Do you havr a new home or are you REAL coastal where grass isn't a complet ground covering thing.

CM's grow fast for me, then die to the ground most winters thanks to my coldness lol. My yard would turn into a forest jumble of grass, grapevine, honesuckly and redbuds if I didn't keep an eye on it.
