Need help with color to improve home exterior

I am trying to improve the curb appeal of this house. The roof shingles are an unappealing orangey red, the porch roof is metal and also a faded red, the shutters are red to match the roof and the door is a glossy bright red. The door is an easier fix depending on what we can do with the roof and shutters. I know I can paint the porch roof black and was thinking of black shutters. I have read that painting the roof shingles is a bad idea but can't afford to replace shingles. Ideas?? Would black shutters and a black door look bizarre? And should metal porch roof be left red if roof shingles are red?

I would remove all the shutters, your windows have beautiful detailing without them! The upper ones draw the eye up and make the roof color stand out more. The porch is lovely, I would concentrate on it to make it a more prominent statement. Pots with tall greenery on each side of the front door, change out the shrubs in front of the porch to flowering varieties such as hydrangeas or roses. Hang a couple of fern baskets above the railing, paint the front door a slate or navy blue. Add a couple of lighter blue pots with flowers on the steps. I think you could make this porch a real showpiece! This is a beautiful home!

I would just paint the front door a dark brown color to go with the shingles and shutters. The red is distracting.

I think slate blue would be a nice color for the shutters and a darker shade for the door.

I would do the black shutters, but leave the door red. The pop of color looks fantastic.

The shutters are actually an equally unattractive reddish color, not brown as they appear in the picture

Ah, ok gotcha. So paint the shutters a tan/brown shade that's the same palette but a bit darker than the roof (shutters are to stand out a bit and frame architectural elements of the house) and then the front door a nice dark tan/brown would look great. You need to get the red out - especially the front door. The pop comes from the shutters imho.

Take the shutters of the double windows over the front door. They don't fit.

Then...paint the shutters BM Smoke Gray and the front door Saybrook Sage. Both will compliment your roof color and the stone foundation.
The gray has some purple undertone which will be a knock out on your gorgeous home.

The sage door...gorgeous when looking at the front lawn.
