Pietra piasentina marble tile - help!

We installed Petra piasentina tlie floors in a newly renovated bath. They look great and have a somewhat rough matte finish which we thought would be nonslip. Problem is they seem very porous - every wet footprint shows and am worried about droplet stains around the toilet. Does anyone know about sealing these or will we need to replace them?

It's marble. That's what it does.Live with it's nature or get rid of it.

Marble always gets sealed. Always. Especially on bathroom floors or with a low-gloss finish (such as yours). There are some marble/stone professionals who like to see marble tile sealed BEFORE it is installed and then 3-4 times AFTERWARDS...before you use the floor.

What did your marble tile expert suggest? Who sold this to you? Who have you called to confirm the requirements of the homeowner re: marble and sealing?

You are going to get different suggestions...but the reality is you need to seal this several times a year for the rest of its life. Have fun. Marble is beautiful.
