I have not had anything bother my asclepias except for a few aphids. But my neighborhood doesn't have many rodents.

I have one Asclepias shrublet and LOTS of gophers, but so far no problem. Gophers do not seem to bother boxwood, rhodies, azaleas, heather/heaths, rhubarb and either do not eat or cannot keep up with bamboo. On the other hand, we have had to make literally scores of gopher cages for almost everything else.....
