If you can post a photo, someone here can probably recreate the pattern for you.

As far as I can tell, all of the old Gardenweb posts are still available. Someone on the hosta forum says Google does a better job of finding posts than the Houzz search function. If you have a year, a name of the pattern, or any distinguishing information that you can use in a search engine, you can probably find it. If you add gardenweb, lotto and quilt to your search terms, that would help get you there.

I haven't been on this forum very long, but I would assume things have been done pretty much the same for a while. This year the title says, "2016 Block lotto at a glance". If you know the year or approximate year (you may have to search several time to find what you want), use "block lotto (year) gardenweb" (don't use quote marks) and see if that helps you. The guys who've been around for a long time will know which words are used consistently.

The hosta forum does an "alphabet" series every year. You can pull up all the photos of G hostas in 2012 by searching for "alphabet G hosta gardenweb 2012" (no quotes). Good luck.

Just give us a picture and we can tell you the pattern. All those patterns were traditional blocks and patterns are readily available.

If you remember what year it was, do a GW search for that year's lotto blocks.

I think it is Bonnie Hunter's Boxy Stars - I remember making the block for either the Lotto or Birthday Blocks using her directions a long time ago. I see a tag pinned to one of the blocks....any info on any of them....perhaps a year?

I can't thank this group enough for the help and pleasure It has been to be part of such special people!! I look back fondly on the two retreats that Rip and were able to attend. Yes, tool granny, that is the exact one!! Magothyrivergirl, that one was using 2 1/2" strips and would change the block size. but I must say a big THANK YOU to everyone!
