Help with kitchen colors

I want to change to the color of my cabinets but I'm not sure what color to paint them I like the antique white but I also like the dark. We will also be changing out the flooring to wood floors. I have attached pictures of what the kitchen looks like now and the wood flooring that we are going with. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated .

I like your pine cabinets....what about painting the walls a pale sage green? The yellow isn't the best with the pine.

Beautiful pine cabinets! I was also going to suggest a sage green that would look fabulous with the pine. If you do not want to paint them green, light blues will also work beautifully with wood.

I like your cabinets too. Painting walls would be faster cheaper easier. They definitely don't go now. A sage or silvery sage colour would look great or something deeper and brighter than pale yellow like maybe some kind of orange. If you're set on painting them then I vote for white/light. Not dark.

Or a teal green/blue with the great pine cabinets.

Thank you for the comments. I agree the yellow doesn't go (this is the way it was when we bought the house). And we do want to change the granite tops too so maybe just paint the walls and do the floors ..... Ughhhh decisions, decisions.....

I'm going to go with the majority here and advise you not to paint those cabinets--the wood is very nice and they look to be in great shape! I'd change the countertop to a white-ish stone (marble or quartz). If you use wood flooring with wood cabinets, then make the floors darker for some contrast.

IMO the pine and the flooring are way too much grain I would paint the cabinets a nice warm white but be aware this really is a job for pros and if not changing the counter the white for the cabinets will need to go with it Dark cabinets with the black appliances will make for a very dark space .

If you want to keep the cabinets add in more white ie countertops/back splash. The picture above is a great idea! I agree with everyone else look to the greens. If you have access to farrow and ball paint they have lovely colours that are timeless.

Painting cabinets is a good option if you are adding in wood floors. I had a house filled with wood and was tired of so much wood. I had my cabinets lacquered and never regretted it. I love a light bright kitchen.

    Good luck!

Did you figure out Lisa? If you haven't you can maybe try going to lowes or Sherwin Williams paints if you have one and look at pant colors

How big is your kitchen, if it's small, go for lighter shades. If it's big, go for darker shades

    Lisa-
I had those same cabinets and had them painted marshmallow white with a slight antique tan wash on top. It worked well. I have also done some contrast cabinets. For instance, the cabinets on your island could be a deep brown while the rest are the marshmallow with tan wash. It is a great combination.

The kitchen is big and open... I am still up in the air on what to do. I like the idea of painting the walls a green shade if we do decide to keep the cabinets original. This is a big decision and I want to make sure I make the right one. I really appreciate everyone's input.
