Oh, so pretty, Nancy. I love the colors. I am going to be away for 17 days starting July 1, so I haven't done any pots-I can't counton them being watered! Sigh. I really miss having them on the deck, so thanks for sharing yours-I will live vicariously through you. :-)

Pots of annuals do look so cheerful!

Pretty - and they look like my containers of annuals here in southern New England. In addition to zero snow this past winter, we've had minimal rain so far this season. As if that weren't challenge enough, gypsy moth caterpillars stripped my 5 mature oak trees & crabapple tree of leaves so my previously shaded front garden is now full sun. I'm watering with recycled milk jugs/pinhole on one side that I fill with water and set up against the base of my plants. Containers & some newly-planted perennials all have plant nannies up close with 1-liter bottles in them that I refill each day with water and a few drops of organic seaweed extract.

Guess it's a good thing I enjoy a challenge...

Love the pots Nancy, I didn't do much with pots or containers this year after last summer's heat trying to keep all of them watered and looking decent was a bit much soooo, nothing much new here other than the new hydrangeas I bought last year, still very small but 'Miss Saori' is going to pop a few flowers.

The mop head should look like this when fully open.

This one has burgundy tinted leaves.

The other new hydrangea I planted last fall 'Golden Crane' it's in full bloom now.

This one is slightly scented :).

I did plant up some coleus cuttings from a friend of one of our boys. I snitched a few cuttings last summer and managed to keep them alive through the winter, don't know the variety name but it was oh so pretty, top of leaves were a bright lime green bottom a rich velvety plum purple, very striking combination.

Enjoyed seeing your pots, Nancy. My neighbor watered mine while I was gone for 10 days. Good thing as it did not rain during the last week and we had very high temps. Came home to the gardens where even the phlox were wilted. Wonder of wonders, we had 3 1/2 inches of rain that evening and everything looks great now.

Love the color of the leaves on Miss Saori, Annette. My hydrangeas are budding. Deer have eaten one side of Limelight and Annabelle but others look okay. I also kept cuttings of coleus last winter and started many plants from them this spring. Several are in pots but stuck some in the ground before I left and they are growing well.

I am holding my breath about my hydrangeas while I amaway. The ones here in France are just spectacular, but I seem to have a hard time with all except the paniculata and oakleaf ones. Sigh. Need pics, Bobbie!
