Thanks for contacting us at KOUBOO. I understand the conflicting information we are providing. With unpacking we don't mean taking it out of the box. Of course you need to be able to take it out of the box to get a sense of the size. Given the shell strands are very delicate they are individually rolled up and attached to the frame in a plastic bags. I recommend to undo 3- 5 strands only to get a sense of the color of the shells. We can't take it back any longer if all the strands are unpacked simply because the shell would break if shipped back like this.
