We have this atrocious 70s medicine cabinet (it has a brown, gaudy overhang). Yesterday, my dad and I unscrewed the four screws. It is jiggling a bit, especially at the bottom, but it's still solidly on the wall. Two things I can think of--it's glued (but the place was an apartment upon being built in 1980, so I don't think construction would have taken the time to glue medicine cabinets into 100s of units). Maybe it is glued at the top?
Or, it's just stuck to the layers of paint that have been slapped on over the years.
Anyway, it needs to go. My remodel on a shoestring (I'll show pics later) is not going to happen if we can't get that big boy out.
On a better note, my handyman is coming today, so maybe he will know how.
