Conestoga Cabinet Owners! Assembly question

Hi guys, I am not at my house (in another state during the renovation), but my contractor just called and said he's completely lost with the cabinet boxes. He said the assembly manual makes no sense. How can he figure out which boxes go together/which to open? That seems to be his biggest hurdle.

Any tips I can pass along to him?

Thank you so much, I will relay all of this to him!!

Also tell him to look up videos on how to assemble Conestoga cabinets. There are tons and they are very detailed. I went by the videos, not the assembly manual.

Beachem has the best advise. I used The Cabinet Joint's videos.

I only used the Cabinet Joint.com videos. That is, until I've done so many I can do them in my sleep.

It's interesting that a pro can't figure this out. If a DIY idiot (I misspelled "Idiot") such as I can do this....!!!

What cabinets did you choose? Inquiring minds...

I'm honestly wondering the same thing. I'm starting to get frustrated with him.

As for the cabinets, what do you mean? Which Conestoga seller or which actual types of cabinets?

I meant did you choose overlay or inset? Seller would be a good question. :) I only buy from Brian at TheCabinetJoint.com. He's been extremely patient with me. Given I have to save to buy anything, a little at a time, most sellers wouldn't waste their time with me.

Ahhh! Full Overlay :) I love inset though. Next time. I worked with Jim at Cabinet Makers Choice. Talk about patient...haha.

Hi Cece! I worked with Jim, as well. Great guy but I do think that Conestoga could do a better job helping out with the huge organization undertaken when the shipment comes. I initially wanted to cry..but now we are 99% done and I'm breathing a sigh of relief!

    Loving my new Conestoga kitchen!

Michey! That is just beautiful! Is that Hearthstone Gray? Looks fantastic. I LOVE your hutch on the counter. Ours isn't done yet but here are some pictures when the counters were going in. Frosty White perimeter, Cadet Gray island.

Wow cece! Looks awesome! Love the island a different color! Yes my cabinets are the Hearthstone . So exciting seeing the new kitchen on fold, right!

Cece!! Beachem! Absolutely love your kitchens !! Great work guys! Cece - i'm spotting unfinsihed edge of the fridge built in cabinet. Is that because the face front wasn't put on yet or is it because you chose to do those large pieces on site and color match them to Conestoga finish. It is something I'm debating on for a stacked washer and dryer built in. I try to save money and just buy those large plywood pieces and paint them myself Or will I regret it when it starts aging in a different color tones and the rest of the Conestoga cabinetry

@maryna: thank you! Yep, you got it, we did the fridge panel ourselves and painted to match. Looks great now; hopefully it stays looking good!

Thank you for replying so fast cece! I am just so glad to get a reassurance in making a right decision. Was it a custom match or did you go with SW 7005 which cabinet joint identified as a match to Frosty White in one of the other gardenweb posts?

Went with the match CJ listed (I think it was Pure White?) :)

Thank you ! Yep that is the one :)
