Thanks for your advises, it will help me to change few things, the size of the room reflect the size of the house, my husband Rpbert done all the house and we are really happy with the result, for sure no problem finding a designer but my husband have been encouragement along the way to do it myself to be MY HOME", I know it have been so much ....and I know I bought too matchy sofas and chairs ...this is a brand new home still we need curtains or blinds don't know at this point...it gave been fun all the process...I was looking just for points to make it work and I know there is always a solution for anything and everything...this is our great room which we r really happy about our results, still blind or curtains that should be done from a company, but we r very comfortable about all house...thanks to all...R&X

I think you've done an excellent job without a designer/decorator.
You have a huge bedroom and I understand the need to want to add more to make it cozy, however, sometimes it ends up looking like clutter and things get lost. Sometimes, less is more!
If you want a rug on top of your carpet then go ahead but find something that is not too loud. As someone else mentioned, dress your windows, that will make a huge difference. Your night stands need something to enhance them, perhaps mirrors will do that. If you can find something long with a nice thick frame.
I don't think you need to fill it anymore than what you already have. To me, it is perfect and very well done.

Some easy things to do for the bedroom. The bench at the foot of the bed is too low and small for the scale of the bed. Try it in front of the sofa instead of the footstool which is too small for the sofa. Put the footstool with the chair it goes with. The larger bench as a coffee table will allow you to put the two chairs angled in the corners of the alcove, facing the sofa and windows. This expands the sitting area and adds more visual weight to it. Drapes will complete the vignette. The photograph on the wall in the corner is hung too high. It should hang 5" above furniture or with its center point 5' above the floor and no furniture under it.

I actually don't think you need rugs. The room looks like it's coming along well. I would move the bench from the foot of the bad into the sitting area to use as a coffee table. Larger lamps for the night tables perhaps. Some kind of window covering would add some texture and interest too. You have nice taste just take it a bit at a time. Love your living room and your idea books.

Rug is too small . Need about a 9x12. Things on coffee table too tall. Still need some subtle pattern.

The tables are a bit too eclectic a mix for me, and the rug is not adequate.

on your last photo, perhaps move the chairs and Ottomans to face the couch and windows and center the coffee table in front of the couch.

You have a lot of open floor space between the sitting room furniture and the bed, so the sitting area doesn't have to stay completely within the parameters of the alcove. I see there is an exit on the left, so I'd leave that area more accessible. Center the coffee table with the sofa and swing the two chairs and their footstools around on an angle, pulling them back toward the bed so there is room for the footstools and to circulate between them and the coffee table. It is fine if they step through the arch a bit. I'm still not a fan of the mix of side tables, and would prefer they all relate to (but not match) the coffee table. The big candlestick is more of a floor piece, and the item on the coffee table is too large scale for the delicate table and looks silly with the foliage stuffed in its small neck. Try it empty on the round contemporary table. The accessories you're using are out of scale with the seating.

YES!!!! Very good! If you could just find a better scale of square or rectangular table for the armchair on the right, you've nailed it!

I like that much better. If you can move the square table, the one on the right next to the window, in between the two chairs, it will fill that empty space and tie the two chairs together. The small round table can then be moved next to the chair. Now, all you need is long drape panels and/or blinds to dress your windows and that room is complete.

Beautiful furniture. I'd hire a designer, even for a couple hours to advise me. It's always worth it. You've done stunning work throughout your house, an outside eye won't hurt.That gorgeous room warrants it and the room will still feel like YOURS.
Your bedroom has beautiful views but too much seating, even for that large space. It's a room for two. I'd place the seating so that the view is visible from the bed; seating facing view more.
Light but full window coverings. Wallpaper on the wall around the fireplace.

Pull some of the same colors from the bedroom into the bath so it works as one entire coordinated suite. Try bringing the bench from the foot of the bed to the center of the bathroom floor. Toss a luxurious towel to drape at one end of it. You may not need a rug, but the bench will tell you where to start looking for the right size and color of rug. Here's an idea for the two chairs at the fireplace if you play some kind of table game together.

I like it too! How big is the bench? Maybe we can find a rug size that will work with it? Or you might invest in a luxury towel and a basket of pretty soaps to set there. Candles are always nice in the bath.

Hi decoenthusiaste, the bench is 50 by 20....I am terrible matching colors, in your opinion the rug should be gold like the color of the bench?.... What about hands towels should be what color?...it really look good the bench ...I never thought this can be possible, thanks so much!!!

Use painter's tape on the floor to tape out a 3 x 5 rug around the bench to see if that feels large enough. Then try taping a 5 x 7. You'll probably want enough rug to comfortably put your feet on if you sit on the bench. I'd work with the bench and floor colors. You mention "hand towels." I was thinking of a larger bath towel that would look more like a throw draped at one end of the bench.

Do you already have coordinated towels for the bath? Charcoal like the floor with some gold embroidery (maybe your initials) would be pretty. Black and gold would be another option. Here's a "killer" silk towel if you want to indulge yourself and your pocket book!

I dont have any coordínate towel yet, do you have any idea Here can i find that color?? ...Also, the ivory one (pict) do u think will look good in the bench??, with the charco al or black and gold? ....any idea where to get that kind??? That silk towel is sold on Houzz but it it $$$! I just thought the color would work and that silk might drape more softly than a regular towel. Apparently these are very special towels as you'll see when you click the "More Info" button to see details.

Those are pretty. You can "buy to try" but just make sure you can return items that don't work for your bath.
