Subway tile backsplash with White Dove cabinets?

Hi! Just wondering if anyone has used a white subway tile with BM White Dove cabinets. My fear is that too bright of a white will make the cabinets look too yellow/dirty. I am pretty set on White Dove for the cabinets as we have used that for all the trimwork and ceilings in the house.

I also have considered a greige-y subway tile, but I do want to keep the look very classic. We will be doing soapstone countertops on the perimeter, and I love the look of a soapstone slab behind the oven and either no backsplash otherwise or a 4" lip. Building a new home and I too used white dove for my shaker kitchen cabinets as well as all the house trim. We used LG Rococo quartz for counter tops. (My island and one large pantry cabinet are painted Kendall Charcoal). Who knew white would be so difficult! I went to three tile stores and brought back numerous tiles. Even considered marble, but did not want upkeep and I wanted more of a farmhouse feel. Believe it or not, I was in Lowe's and thought I would look. The woman there said she got asked that question a lot and took me directly to a tile. I brought a tile from there to match it up, OLean, 22 cents!! and I was looking at anything at this point. It was a perfect match! It really is about a good installation. My kitchen gets a lot of sun so you have to look at it in the space. Might be worth a try. Good Luck!

there were about 10 shades of white subway tile at the tile store when i bought mine, and the store had conveniently put all of the manufacturers on a single board. individually they all were white, but really were all over the park. you should have no trouble finding one that matches or complements your white dove. make sure you take the other samples with you too, as soapstone color can vary quite a bit and you want to make sure something suddenly doesnt look off.

i went with a crackly glaze which made matching quite a bit easier, too.

Wow same predicament I'm in dove cabs and white subway tile, after making design decisions your options get increasingly limited with each step, in some ways I suppose it makes things easier.

Our new cabinets are white dove and the white subway tile was just installed - I love it! It has a gloss to it and on the back it says made in Spain. Is there a Floor and Decor near you? That is where they came from and the price was great.

Frost by Mapei, it's a light grey color so gives a little definition to the tiles without being too dark. I love it!

Can I ask what you ended up using? We are doing our cabinets next week and need a white subway tile to complement it! We have the same fear of the backsplash making cabinets look dingy.

What did you end up going with? I currently have this dilemma... I'm worried the bright white will make the cabinets look too cream and if I go with the off white tile I'm worried that it will all look too cream!

I ended up going to floor and decor. The 3x12 frost white tile matches the best with the dove white color cabinets...and I have purchased many white tiles. Thank you for that help from the post earlier!!!! What grout color did you end up using?

We used the Crossville Savoy white gloss tile and it had the perfect warm undertones to complement the White Dove.

Help please, with shower tile. My cabinets are white dove, counter top is Cambria Ironbridge, I would like to complement the counter top. Thank you
