Small shed foundation

last modified: 10 years ago

So my wife bought us an 8x10 suncast no maintenance shed from Menards last week and is looking to me to build it...A foundation is obviously important. So, I started looking at concrete slabs and found that they were very expensive. Then I saw in Home Depot the floating foundation deck systems that uses piers to make a floating foundation. They say no digging, no concrete, etc. just lay them down and start building. This last part seems a bit too good to be true but are they good solid foundations? We will not be storing anything crazy. Just typical yard stuff. Lawn mower, snow blower, tools etc. I don't think we actually need a full slab of concrete. We live near the twin cities in Minnesota in case that matters. Freezing and thawing and the like. Thanks for any advice you all can provide for my new project!
