Thank you to you all for your thoughts and suggestions... I'm so grateful! Here are two more pictures (the 'fourth wall') and the connection to the rest of the house (dining room and beyond). The house is built on a hill - so this room is in the back, on the second floor, looking at the woods and our backyard like a treehouse. I've lived here for a long time and am ready to improve the look. Thanks again for your help - Judy
