I would carry the porch all the way across and replace the eyebrow window with size to match other double windows.

I love the idea of a porch. If budget allows, I'd take it across the entire frontage and make it at least 8 feet deep to allow you to put some nice furniture out here and enjoy it as an outdoor room. Even though it's only a couple of steps up from the ground, it should have a decorative railing across the front to enhance the design. Click on the photos below to enlarge them.

Do you have any kind of local setback requirements that would stop you from adding a porch across the front? From the photo it is hard to tell how much yard space there is in the front of the house.

Love the porch idea. The windows are too large for shutters, especially the triple window.

This is not the best solution, but I was trying to see what might be possible.

I agree that a porch all the way across would give the home more interest and dimension.
