Hi everyone, we recently bought a small acreage and we have a rose growing in the flowerbeds in front of the house. I have never had a rose before but I am keen to learn more about them. I figured a good first step would be to find out what kind it was, and that's where all you fine folks come in.

The flowers are a very deep pink, almost purple, and very fragrant. Only 1 blossom is currently blooming right now and the smell from even just 1 is quite strong and pleasent. The plant is about 3.5-4 feet tall, with strong foliage at the top but bare further down. It also has lots of very fine thorns. I have a couple pictures of the plant, the bloom, and a bud.

As you can tell from the picture, the plant has been really neglected for at least 6 years if not more. So please don't hold all the dead branches against me :)
