Are those copper tiles surrounding the fireplace?

    I agree that they look like copper, but am thinking that the fireplace has been faced with a tile product. Maybe a stone veneer or a large porcelain or ceramic tile in a gorgeous, coppery, mottled finish. So hard to tell!

    It looks like concrete board form stained to look like copper.

    I would hope that anyone owning a piano of this size would know how to open the lid correctly. The front part of the lid covering the tuning pins should be folded back and then raised with the prop stick.

    The copper fireplace surrounds on the fireplace side and the entry side are 20 gauge copper panels contact cemented to the fireplace substrate. The house was designed by Miro Rivera Architects of Austin, Texas and copper work was patinated with ferric nitrate by Jim Thomas Bronze Studio of Jonestown, Texas.
