Washer dryer stacking

I'm renovating the den where the laundry rooms located and need the space. I've got front loading Frigidaire w/d and want to stack but I'm unsure if it safe. The set is relatively new.

Just call the company's help line or send them message on facebook. Or read the the manual

if they are made to be stackable, and you use the company supplied hardware, and if they are well balanced, it will save you space. However if your short you might not like it. We did have ours stacked for a while, but when we moved destacked them. But I would do it again with a new unit if I needed the space.

DD's stackable set has an angled button panel which makes it very difficult to see the top dryer settings (she has to keep a stool nearby to change settings). Her previous set had a flat front which was easily readable. Just check yours before stacking.

If you have model nos., you can find online. We bought new w&d earlier this year & it seems pretty much all the front-loads w/ controls on front & not on panel at rear today are designed to be stackable. I think that's driven by most new apt. bldgs. now have in unit space for w&d. An apt. we recently rented for weekend trip on AirBnB did. Ours are stackable, but we have them side-by-side.
