I recently read that the Australian bottle tree is just about the messiest tree around. Just a heads up.

I have the great misfortune of owning a house with two mature bottle trees (they're only alive for now because they give my Avocados shade). This baby bottle tree is gone tonight!

My neighbor has 3 large old bottle trees along the fence line of our houses. They cracked my block fence. I am constantly bombarded with leaves, pods, seeds, and in spring the little flowers.

Can't say I like them.
