I live in NY where the summers are really warm and the winters are wet and cold! I am finally going to replace my front door after renovating the interior of my home. I really want a beautiful wood door in a minimalist design in a light/mid wood color as in the photos attached. Is it walnut?

Can anyone give me advice on which wood species i should be looking at and if it will work well for my climate? Does the door need a special weather treatment?

What kind of hardware do I need to withstand the wet climate?

I also need a modern looking code entry lock that is not digital for the sabbath.
