The common form should do fine for you if you can't locate the mountain form. It does great for me in TN, I'm sure I'm colder and snowier than you. I've never seen them offered anywhere.

Do you know of any sources for non-montane, Ken?

Mail Order Natives in Lee FL lists P.p. in one gallons for $10. I've never ordered from them but have heard VERY good things about them. They have a website, Google their name.

My original longleaf came from Bennett Nursery in Huntsville AL on RTE 231 north of town. It's been a while so don't know if they still carry them.

I've had no problems temperature wise here with FL and MS sourced pines.

you might have better odds of finding sources.. on the WWW if you use the latin name ...

ken

Ken - Please correct me if using an incorrect name. I've been using pinus palustris when searching. Thanks!

Joe

sounds good enough for me.. i couldnt narrow it down using just longleaf ... but i didnt try to hard ... ken

I'm at the point where it may be time to go back to pinus taeda and be done with the search.

Forestfarm seems to have containerized longleafs, tho not cheap:

You might want to call them first to verify.
