I am not a professional but in my opinion the quarter round should not be on the toe kick. I would remove it. Quarter round seems odd with a tile floor. Does it look ok?

I also am not sure why there is a quarter round there at all. We just had new vanities installed and no quarter round on the toe kick. That is odd.

But yeah, if it is needed for some reason, it should match the cabinetry so it can disappear.

I think this fluctuates regionally. Shoe mold (smaller than quarter round) is used in our area with both wood flooring and with tile flooring. It would typically be installed around all cabinetry whether the cabinets are in the bath, kitchen or elsewhere. It should match the cabinetry.

Thanks all for your responses. In my current house there is shoe mold and it matches all the cabinets. I think I was just using the wrong term when I called it quarter round. I've asked the builder to match the cabinet color. It may be hard to believe, but it looks even more jarring in person. I laughed out loud when I first saw it because of how absurd it looks.
