Living room window

Ok. Really not sure what to do for coverage and colour?One thing I am opposed to ,do not want horizontal blinds, as the pic shows took them down( broken anyway). So would like a soft look. There is no reason to close. Not near neighbours or busy nosey ppl. But having said that do not want you to be able to see right in especially at night. Thoughts?
