I'm redoing daughter's room into a guest room. It currently has bright blue w/ stripes (see photo). It's a small room with one large window. I'm planning on the duvet shown (other photo): Palmetto duvet from Serena & Lilly that is navy, tan and white; seagrass headboard; light wood furniture; tan and navy drapes as shown. QUESTION is do I paint the walls off-white (swatch to the left in the picture) or a very pale tan. I feel the off-white is the way to go so the bedding and furniture pop out BUT I'm really worried about painting a bedroom off white with white trim - will it feel too cold? Reminds me of apt. living! The tan (swatch to the right) would be warmer feeling but will it wash out the bedding and furniture not allowing the beachy vibe I'm after? Any advice?
