Exterior Paint Color ideas?

We bought our house about a year ago and completed a lot interior updating in the first year. We are now ready to tackle the exterior, but we are having a difficult time choosing colors. We are leaning towards a pewter/charcoal/black for the new roof singles, but would love some advice regarding house colors combinations including shutters and trim. Thanks in advance!

Rich color on shutters would already serve, plus maybe a diff color on door

I would remove the shutters. The house looks too busy with them, and will more so when painted. Here is photo without shutter look;)

If you're going with asphalt shingles I'd choose charcoal, definitely! From my experience, it's the most versatile. FWIW, we replaced our roof a few years ago with Timberline HD (made by GAF) architectural shingles in a charcoal. And, like the name implies, the color variation gives them an HD (or really a 3-D) appearance which mimics the look of wooden shakes.

Regarding the shutters: at the very least, remove the ones which, if they were operable, wouldn't cover the entire window when closed. ;)
