There are some people who have managed to grow tropical fruit trees up in that area. A lot depends on the variety you choose as well as your local microclimate. You can look up your climate zone here:

You might try the small types of Mangoes- Manila and Aultalfo. Or larger like Keitt. Really those are what you might find for sale in a nursery or grow from seed...others you would have to order and take a chance. My advice is- NEVER let a newly planted mango get frost the first two winters..always cover and if needed heat. After that they are more cold resistant.

Banana can be done..they will ripen before frost gets to them. I have heard Raja and Dwarf Cavendish and then Goldfinger and Ice Cream. Must me more.

Mexican Guava I hear is very frost tender.

Sapodilla has been grown in the bay area. Sacramento I'm sure it would need protection from from frosts. You can only try.

I myself doubt you will find these for sale. I would recommend you join the rare fruit society to exchange plants and ideas. You have plenty of hot summers to grow them all..its help in how to over winter them that will come in handy.

I read an anecdotal report about someone in Sacramento who managed to grow a very small cocoa tree right besides a lake. Not sure I believe it, but he said being right next to the lake helped prevent the temperature from dropping too low, and the added humidity during the summer probably helped too. Not recommended, but an expert fruit grower trying to push the limits of what can grow in their climate could give it a try.

Pomegranates grow in Sacramento. Lychee might be able to grow in the warmest parts of Sacramento, in the urbanized regions, with a protective covering of mulch in the Winter. Sacramento has hot summers so at least the fruit would be able to ripen. 'Emperor' lychee appears to be the most cold-hardy variety, and that is also the variety with the largest sized fruit, although this variety can be harder to find.

I'm not sure that it's subtropical, maybe more like "Mediterranean", but quince would probably grow really well in Sacramento too. Fruits are very fragrant, normally better for cooking but there are some varieties that can be eaten raw, especially in climates with long hot summers.

Lemon,Pineapple,Strawberry Guava's should do great. They arent the big tropical guava's..but still,Guava's.

Lychee I hear grows fine..its the flowers don't form right. Maybe too early in the cold spring? Something. Maybe a good grafted tree protected well.
