If you can, turn inside out, hot water with borax and baking soda. Add a little bleach later into the wash cycle.

Let air dry in the sun if possible (still inside out).

Yep as Georgy says inside out...I would do a quick handwash in the sink with a bit of Dawn..cool water..give em a quick rinse under running water..than a hot soak with CHEMICALS LOL...laundry detergent. Haha..but theae them inside out thruout this.

I recall a lot of comments on stinky athletic clothing on the forum in the past. The answer IIRC was hot water. Hot water washes are wonderful. Don't put them in the dryer though. Dry them inside out too.

I never use nitrile gloves for gardening. They rip fast and i need to replace them once per week or so.

Try to use some good leather gloves, they may cost more but worth the investment.

Natural leather is great for wicking away moisture from perspiration.

I found some really good ones few months ago and they are still holding.

I believe OP is referring to gloves like "mud gloves" = usually knit with a textured nitrile finish on the fingers and palm. I love my mud gloves - use them all the time, and they last for years (or, more accurately in my case, decades). I usually just run them under water to get the dirt off and let them air dry, but I have thrown them in the washer before, they wash just fine. I've never noticed a sweaty smell, though -- mine are knit. OP solved her problem, though.

I do like leather gloves for some things, but depends on the chore, and I find they can get hot. I have a suite a different gloves for different chores. ;0)
