If you're talking about installed cost, call 3 local installers. You could probably find names for them from the manufacturer. Costs vary widely from region to region, site specifics and depending on the installer. You must have a plan in order for an installer to bid on work and in order to be able to compare bids.

If you're looking for material cost, call the manufacturer or visit their distribution center.

hi yardvaark, i was hoping someone on the forum would chime in b/c i did visit the manufacturing plant today but was given an inflated rate since i was the homeowner. they give better rates to contractors. I had a contractor come out today but he'll have to price it out and get back to me. i'll be getting other quotes as well. there are many south florida ppl on these boards... i was hoping someone knew what was a good price for Shellock pavers in my area. I have an idea of installation costs since i've gotten quotes in the past for travertine but don't know if the installation cost is different for shellock.

If you're a homeowner, why would you expect the factory sell you their product at contractor price?

well now I'm confused. You said you visited the factory and they gave you the price, but here you are asking... what it costs. I might have "something of value to add" if you're a little clearer about what you're looking to achieve.

I was just legit curious about the reason why, if you thought you shouldn't pay retail. I'm a dealer for outdoor kitchen products. Several times a year, someone calls up and asks for a quote. Then they respond "well no, I want your contractor price." When I've told them sure, all you need to do is send over a copy of your contractor or business license, I've gotten cussed out. Repeatedly. So I'm seriously trying to understand that position.

don't know why you are confused. my question was, "Does anyone know what this decking product runs per sqft?" Anything else does not pertain to the discussion. no reason other than i want to be an informed consumer. travertine costs are widely discussed and known in my area. this is a product i just learned about and went to go see in person at the manufacturer b/c i like it.

Nobody has pricing per square foot other than the actual material cost. Every contractor is different in their costing and of course the site prep will up the cost as well if there is a lot of excavation to do. If you have experience with travertine pavers, I think the Artistic pavers are about the same material cost wise.

I believe these are only 1 1/2" thick like travertine and cannot be compacted like regular pavers, so the installation has to be perfect. There are also no joints for sand. They do look pretty cool for a more commercial look especially if you want to go with the lighter colors. Make sure your contractor has experience laying these pavers as they are a bit different in installation technique.

You might also check into a new line of porcelain pavers by Belgard called Monarch, very cool, but not cheap.

@JSL is that not a paver used where you are? I used to do landscape sales in Phoenix and Shellock/Artistic was one of our go-to pool decking pavers.

Yes, Mirage not Monarch. I priced out a couple of the styles a few months back and they were about 3-4 times the cost of regular pavers.

@Rev - yes Artistic is installed the same as regular pavers. I was confusing it with travertine installation technique.

yikes.. that is really pricey. they are beautiful but can't justify that cost.

arodinmiami... I'm on the west coast of FL and just about ready to invest in some sort of 'cool pavers' myself! Wondering what finally made the grade for you re: paver choice? I just put down tons of coral stone from Miami but hope to save money from here on out with Artistic Pavers as had a quote below coral stone, but bid was a year old. I had to use coral stone on my balconies as couldn't fit the 1 5/8 tile from AP... hope your job came out great!
