I suggest a vibrant color like red, navy or cobalt blue, green, yellow, or even eggplant would work with your house!

Red has a nice look to it for some reason. David Weekly built a few homes in are area and finished their front doors red, which was a unique way to stand out.

I think red would look great - more of a warm orangey red or rusty kind of red.

Yes red, but first, remove the undersized faux shutters from those front windows.

Should I do something else in place of the shutters? Trim?

I like the shutters. You can paint the front door the same color or whatever strong color complements the house colors: cobalt, green, red, etc.

Much better pic Emily!! That's a small front door! Paint it something with some color so you can see it. Since it's next to the red brick, I would choose something that compliments that. Turquoise and red look fabulous together (I know, right?) Cobalt was mentioned and that would work too. Green will look like Xmas and yellow, well, just no.

Or if you like warmer, stay in the red family. Are those shutters black or a brown shade? I would redo them in a deep black for a richer look. Get a few samples of some colors you like and either paint a portion of the door or a piece of cardboard and tape it onto the door and then stand back and see what you like! .Show a picture of the after when you are done!
