Beverly posted some great inspiration photos and nightstands. Can you take pictures of the other three walls? Nightstands in front of windows are not a problem.

Thank you BeverlyFLADeziner! I love some of the chests that you suggested - especially 1 and 2! I was going for mustard color, but I agree it turned out darker and more orange. The color is SW "cut the mustard" and it does look different on my wall ( photo attached from Google). I think the main reason is the light in the room - there isn't much of it, there are only these 2 skinny windows, and they are facing south, so not much light is coming through. I'm sure adding better lighting fixture would help ( instead of currently old fan with couple of dim light bulbs), but other than that I'm not sure what In can do to brighten up the room.

On another note - I'm not entirely opposed to changing the accent wall color. The entire living room area is painted that light gray color, so I wanted to add a pop of color so that not the entire house is gray :)

With bedrooms rooms, we're always reminding posters to select the bedding first and then select the paint. So you have bedding. Does it have drapery panels that coordinate? Here are some panels from Overstock

I didn't realize that was the rule. I do believe that I selected the bedding first and then wanted to complement it with mustard wall. The only thing I don't like about starting from the bedding is that I never think of it as permanent and want to be able to change it up - in my case I think any neutral bedding would work - white, gray, taupe. I do not yet the drapery yet. I love all the ones you posted.

Not a rule, just easier. Paint colors are infinite, bedding choices that you actually like are not. If you select the wall color and then search for bedding that works with it, you can search a long time.

The same thing applies to area rugs or sofas. Start with them first and then select a paint color. This way you are not painted into a corner, no pun intended.

Glad you like the panels I've posted, but please note that none of these panels will look good with your mustard accent wall.

Would panels do you think would work? Or would you recommend I get rid of the accent wall and change it to something else? I'm afraid I don't have it in me to change all wall colors, so gray walls will have to stay haha. Thank you!

I have a light brown tile floor with an off white wall and ceiling what color of curtains and bedding do I get now to make it go wow when I enter the room the bed is a little darker brown then the floor.

That mustard wall color is horrid, that does not look good. I would repaint that wall, and then I would use mirrored nightstands with that pretty gray headboard. I would hang sheer drapery panels over each window and swag each side back with a tie bar attached to the wall. And then I would use nicer, more sophisticated bedding and pillows.

No one swags any drapery panels back anymore.

Haha, I like your bluntness cpaul1! I laughed out loud when I read "that mustard wall is horrid", so I'm not even offended. I do agree that getting rid of it would make decorating this room easier. What color would you paint it? Same gray as the rest of the walls? I do like mirrored nighstands, found these (image attached) in Shop section that are affordable, although hard to tell if they'd go While I love the ones BeverlyFLAdezined posted, some of them are $1000 a piece and are outside of my price range. Any suggestions/examples on a 'nicer, more sophisticated bedding and pillows"?

I really, really, really like Beverly's nightstands. Not a fan of mirrored because of fingerprints and I don't want to see my thighs coming at me...just saying. I think another shade of yellow, maybe match the yellow in comforter, would be better on the wall.

I'm with you, Blue Booby! I love the nightstands she suggested in her first comment, especially 1 and 2, but as I mentioned they are outside of my price range. So I'll have to keep looking.

The rest of the walls in the bedroom

Couple of questions...Is the accent wall staying? I prefer the accents of yellow instead of the whole wall.

Is the bedding staying? I think it is very pretty. The wall and/or the bedding will kind of dictate the drapes.

Do you need/want a fan or just an overhead light or both?

At this point I think I will get rid of the wall and paint it the same light gray, and instead add yellow accents - maybe curtains, I liked some of the ones that Beverly suggested. The bedding is staying for now.
I don't like fans, prefer a nice chandelier.
