Hi,

I recently bought a traditional leather sofa for my living room (link below). I would like to buy a wood media/tv console and a wood coffee table that will tone it down a bit (so that my small NYC apartment doesn't look too traditional). Would it look good if I buy a mid-century console such as the West Elm Acorn Buffet (link below) or should I keep everything traditional? I'm not sure about this mix and would appreciate all the advice I can get. I'd prefer my living room to have a traditional but balanced look (not modern or contemporary, but also not "old and heavy"). Thanks!
