Toilet for small bathroom, but big guy

Hi all,

I keep plugging away in my small 7x4 bathroom. It is now gutted, and I have purchased the Ikea Godmorgon 48" long 19" vanity set and mirrored cabinet. Although I cannot extend the bathroom, I am borrowing room from my "shed" behind the bathroom for a linen closet above the toilet -- I will be recessing an Ikea cabinet into the space :-).

NOW, I need a toilet for the small space. I would like it to be somewhat compact given my space limitations (the toilet is directly opposite my tiny shower), BUT, my partner is 6'2 and 250 lbs....so a "tiny" toilet would not work. He hates comfort height, but we need a GREAT flush so we' are not always cleaning.

1) somewhat compact in depth and height of tank, but not uncomfortable for a big guy

2) powerful flush/doesn't clog

3) under $300

4) single or two-piece

5) I like skirted, but may be impractical.

I have googled and read until I am exhausted...ideas appreciated.

Toto Drake would be in your price range, flushes well and is fairly compact. Toto has a big following on this forum. I have a Mansfield Cascade which is slightly smaller than average that I like quite a bit (after I replaced the flush handle/lever) that is still quite comfortable for me. I'm 6'1". In general your round bowls will take up less space than elongated, although an elongated gives a guy more room, but round bowls are still comfortable.

I was going to suggest a Toto Drake. Or maybe a Drake 2? I'm not exactly sure what we have, but I've heard no complaint from my husband. However, He's 6'1" and 280# and he absolutely required we get an elongated.

We have a comfort height Toto in our master bathroom because he wanted it. I hate that thing, but since adding a squatty potty it works well for me. Squatty Potty at Target

Thank you both so much! I don't like comfort height either...and the bathroom is too small to add anything we don't need, like the squatty potty, although I'd be happy using it just thinking about the commercials :-D
