I like the darker one, too.

I also prefer the darker one. This new roof will really improve the curb appeal of your house.

I think their Weathered Wood would bring some further interest and go nicely with your brick. Look at it on line and see what you think. Color on computers is challenging. You never know.

In looking more closely at your picture, I see dark streaks on your chimney. This could be a serious flue condition. Please have this checked. Could be sign of fire hazard. If you are already aware, pardon me, but sure don't want a problem for your home. ;-)

Thanks for the comments! The veneer around the chimneys (stacked fireplaces) IS dirty. We have utterly useless vented gas logs and blower ing he upstairs LR, and there is a wood stove with blower that can heat the entire basement downstairs. I do not know when we last had the flue cleaned! I appreciate the concern!
