Something outdoorize above porch left window. Like iron, sun, sign. Plants, scrubs.

Why such a low window on the left ? it needs a bigger one to balance it out ..nice house by the way

Pots of plants hanging baskets, and pretty furniture are a definate must and depending on the stone, stacked stone on the pillars and foundation could look great . Would love to see what you end up doing.

I would not do any stone on the pillars. They look good as they are because they have some bulk. The only place I may use some stone would be around the bottom of the porch (&house?)to replace the lattice. I would however, change the railing to be more interesting and definitely painted black. Something like this only all the wood should be painted white (trim color). Also extend it from the corner pillars to the house on the sides of the porch.

Regarding the low double window, I would shop for wood louvered shutters sized that when placed together (like closed) are just about the width of the low double window. Height of the shutters should be tall enough that when the height added to the height of the existing window is close to the height of the top of the large double window on the right side of the house. Add narrow flat trim around the shutters and the windows below to "join" them together. Add similar but narrower shutters to the double window on the far side of the porch. I have used "closed" shutters on the outside of large empty walls & also on the inside homes.

It's a great house.

Totally agree with Darzy...just add color and interest to the porch. Large fern baskets and colorful Adirondack chairs. Big, comfy porch swing.
