I'm trying to choose a neutral color to for this north facing living room. I think want something in the gray/ greige family or possibly ivory/cream. I know the northern light will cool down and dull any color I choose, so I'm having trouble feeling confident that the colors I like online will work well in this room. It's a rental and I can't test the paint on the walls first-- just have to tell them a color. I want the room to feel as bright and serene as possible-- we're moving a family of four into this small apartment and I want this room to be as inviting as we can possibly make it! I think a stone/light greige would be great but which ones have enough pigment and some warm undertones, while still being light enough for the feel I want? (And yes, I know darker, richer colors can sometimes work best in north facing rooms, but that would be a tough sell for the landlord.) Some colors I've been looking at are Benjamin Moore: Elmira White, edgecomb gray, Hampshire Taupe, Oyster (which isn't really as greige), Classic Gray. Thank you! And bonus points if you have suggestions from Behr, as I think my landlord's painter is going to Home Depot.
