How tall is the ceiling, with and without the dropdown above the kitchen

    The ceiling is 8'6" , and drops 6" to define the kitchen area.

      thank you! I have 8'4" ceiling, I am wondering if it is too low to do a drop like that.

      How much space is between the top of the dropped ceiling and the reg. ceiling. I have to drop the last 2' of my ceiling in my addition. And want to make it look intentional by putting lighting in it. The front will have some space by the ceiling. It will also be built and sheet rocked in so this was so helpful to me. I could make it look like it was a floating light?

      The recess is no more that 2", more than enough for LED lighting.

      Is there a recess on the two sides where there are adjoining walls as well? If so, how far is the tray from the walls?
