My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Hi, could you please tell me how you did the baseboards? Ae they metal or is it metallic paint?

    The choice for custom stainless baseboards was client driven - as they work in an industry that requires durable stainless steel finishes, and that was their preference in their home. Our homes are all high custom to each specific client.

    The stainless steel is a great choice in that there is no concern of rust developing and leeching on to the concrete finish floors. As the home is in an Oceanside location, that is a concern to all metal finishes so we strongly recommend stainless steel finishes for items like hardware, as otherwise they will need replacing within a short time.

    Your tip would certainly be more economical in the short term, though it could bring maintenance issues and possible damage to surfaces below or adjacent to where it is placed.

      Can you provide some idea of the cost of material and installation on this type of baseboard? Can it be used for curves, and would you have any ideas on how to "age" it a bit to use in a more rustic vs. modern/contemporary application? thanks for your help!

      It is best if you contact a local steel fabricator for pricing.

      You could go with mill finished steel for a more industrial look, but if you talk to the fabricator, they may be able to give you suggestions and show you some samples to achieve what you may want.

      Just a pointer, you can achieve almost the same look with rolled
      flashing from your local hardware store. I have used it many times on
      commercial projects.
