Thanks for the question! As pebble tile is made from natural stone, it is durable and long-lasting (as long as you don't mind a slightly bumpy surface). When choosing a pebble tile, be sure to find out whether the product is glazed or unglazed ("natural"). Unglazed pebbles, as a natural product, will need to be sealed for protection (and the sealer can sometimes enhance the color). Glazed pebble tiles have a layer of glaze fused to the surface which makes them stronger, and also protected -- they may not require a sealer. In both cases, it is important to seal the grout, to keep it looking as beautiful as the stone! -Emily
