We just finished ordering a new 3 and a half seater chaise lounge with an ottoman. After talking to the salesperson, we decided to get the larger ottoman that sits flush with the couch when pushed back in Tetris style as it can double as a queen bed (we're young and get visitors, so it's useful).

From a style POV, though, I'm wondering if it'll end up looking awkward? I'm working out logistics for a proper sized rug with the right style, and I'm realizing that all the ottomans I see fit within the boundaries of the couch with some extra space on either side.

How do I offset this when styling the rest of the room? Or have I made a mistake that'll annoy me for years to come, and I should change it?
