bathroom vanity lighting

We had our bathroom renovated. Now I need to pick a mirror and vanity light. I'm intrigued by the LED backlit mirrors. We do have recessed lighting throughout the bathroom. Can anyone help me decide between conventional vanity lighting and the backlit mirror? Thanks!
