What is this????

There's some type of vine/weed that's come up in the flower bed and we are unsure what it may be. My mother has always wanted vines so if it's something that's common and okay to have we'll probably leave it but it's obvious that it'd probably be hard to get rid of only because it's grown so much within the last few months after it came out of nowhere! If anyone has any suggestions on what this is or if we should even keep it thatd would be great! Thanks!!

Also we're in north Alabama if that matters at all!

Looks like my Virginia creeper. But I don't know Alabama plants so you may have something similar.

I live in northern Wisconsin and we refer to it as wood vine. It is a weed that is overly aggressive! I keep it in check by literally just ripping it back. It loves the warmth and humidity of summer. That is, if it is the same thing!

I also live in North Alabama. That isn't a vine you want to grow. It's very invasive and will take over.

Engleman's Ivy is another name for it. I live in Canada where I assume our winters keep it in check a little bit, but the previous owner of my home planted it along a fence and I regularly have to go around and rip it out of trees and gardens where it doesn't belong. It seems quite difficult to get rid of.

It attaches with little rootlet suckers that are really hard to get rid of, even after the vine is gone. Keep it off of anything you value.

It's Virginia creeper,,it takes over everything, You need to pull it out and whenever you see another one come up, keep pulling it out. It will take a while to get rid of it. It is beautiful in fall, but it's not good close to a house
