Did you have the rug custom made?

Hi Ramona,
Can you share the source of your sisal rug? Was it custom made and what color is it? Beautiful, elegant dining room! Thanks, Karen

look in the original thread for links to sisal look wool rugs. I'm not finding them easily but they are a real thing. Sisal gets dirty and is difficult to clean. It is also itchy.

Thanks, Ramona. So this rug is actually a combination of wool and sisal?

While I wouldn't recommend much from RH anymore, this rug was never a bad idea. This was custom sized and otherwise almost impossible to find elsewhere. It vacuums very well and have no complaints at all.

It's just sisal. They did have some sisal and wool options but I went back to this style. I did purchase some pre-treatment and cleaner that's good to have on hand but we have yet to spill on it and looks brand-new still. Not much more to do in this room except have the drapes professionally hung which I am looking to do. I just added flowers to the table and I'm done!

Thanks for the info about the rug, Stefanie. I didn't realize RH offered custom sized sisal rugs. Your dining room looks amazing!

Thank you! If you go that route, make sure to get lots of samples first.

Stef, I didn't know you were lurking around. lol. Did you keep the lamps in this photo??

I got my sofa. Go to my thread. I am finally moving and will get a bench for coffee table/ottoman use.

I love the sisal look and it was originally my first choice for my living room. I got diverted though. I always wanted sisal looking wool though. I have some sisal throw rugs which did not hold up.

I would have purchased pure wool sisal look for cleanability/durability/softness.

take a look. I am ready for advice on next step.
