What are the measurements. What must stay? Treadmill?

Switch off ceiling light. That kind of light is never flattering to anyone in the bedroom. Get a large wall sconce or table lamp in each corner at chest height. Get a carpet that's big enough to fit under bed and where you have it now. Float a seating area with two upholstered chairs, side table, and ottoman to put feet up. Put that seating area on carpet facing dresser where it looks like you may be putting a tv? I'm not to keen on the wall color. Does that have to stay? It seems to be to much of a contrast with the floor. How about more of a color that compliments the floor - doesn't fight with it -such as: Reticence SW6064. Switch out art for something with impact:

You can add ottoman and accent chairs. You can put on a big mirror on one of the walls. and out nice wall art above the bead head

The room is 24 feet X 20 feet, high ceilings....the treadmill is old and I can get rid of it. Thanks everyone!

Do you guys think the rug has to go? or can I just slide it under the bed? If I need something bigger, how big should the rug/carpet be for the room. Ideal color? TIA!

Below are some master bedroom designs we have done. It might help to look through to get some ideas.

1.) I would first change wall color into some dark color that goes well with the floor. I would say some blue or brown would work there.

IMO bedroom is the only room that asks for darker walls, specially if it is big like yours. I think there is some cave factor in us that gives us feeling of security when being in a darker room.

2.) Add texture with natural materials (wood, burlap, linen..)

3.) Who are you? You probably have some activities/hobbies that you enjoy and need space for - are you yogi at heart? vivid reader? secret ballerina? musician?

It's a huge room, and IMO it's a shame to just waste that space filing it just for the sake of filing.

Why not make use of it by setting up place for your passions? Not things you "should" do - but those that you love, that makes your eyes sparkle. That would make getting up much more enjoyable.

If you like to dance, put up some big mirror and speakers; small library if reading is your passion; calming spot with pillows and candles for stretching or doing yoga etc...

How about installing a bath? The bedroom is the place for intimacy so imagine anything you could do in private and out of other ppls sight.
And a kettle area fir those days when all u wanna do is staying in bed and going to the kitchen to grab coffee seems a big deal.
Definitely a seating area and i like the dancing space idea; its an intimate moment for a couple.
