New construction - other ideas than builder's wet bar option?

Hey everyone-

I am purchasing a new construction town home; the "4th" bedroom is a larger 19' x 12'6" and will serve as a second family room / guest room. The builder offers a wet bar option for $6,700 including cabinets, shelving above, granite counter tops, electrical, plumbing and sinks (quartz tops, back splash and appliances are additional). See attached photo for how the model is set up. There is a full bathroom and walk-in-closet off this room.

My questions:
1. Any other ideas / suggestions on what else could be built in besides a wet bar?
2. Does this price seem reasonable? (cabinets are wood front by Barbosa and not solid wood inside)
3. If we don't do a built-in, any suggestions for layout, etc.?

The cost would be reasonable if it included the appliances, backsplash, etc. I would try to negotiate with the builder to give you a final product for the $6700.

If you think you'd ever rent the space, or share your place with family, etc, I think it would be a good idea to have the "suite" available.

If the townhouse is not too large and visiting the kitchen is a short trip, the extra "kitchen" may be a bit too extravagant. It depends on your lifestyle and pocketbook.

On the other hand, financing $6700 over the life of the loan is less than $10 per month. Is that worth it for you? It would be far more expensive to add the feature later.

If you don't really need the feature, you can make your own frig/dry bar area with stock cabinets.

If you don't really need it, you, others ahead might like children's table with chairs / blackboard, etc.... of course seating with tv as pictured.
