I would go grey tile and the darker grey vanity (I think people like storage) and I get the impression you don't have an overly modern house?

it's not an overly modern house, but it has really high vaulted ceilings (two stories high), and my bedroom upstairs is a loft - so it's kind of a mix. The rest of the decor in the house is clean lines, my couch and some decor looks like this:

what kind of floors in rest of house? personally I like the wood look modern vanity with gray tile (maybe a larger format grey tile that has a "woody" look or linen look to it??)

sounds like modern may match the rest of your house better!

The flooring in the rest of my house is a dark wood. I love the wood tile look, but I'm worried that if later I decide to put in lighter wood in the rest of the house, that the bathroom won't match and it'll look weird. And of course, if I change the vanity, the flooring is thrown off, etc. what do you mean by a woody large format tile?
