Four O'Clocks for JBs

Grow Four O'Clocks nearby! I discovered this totally by accident one summer: I noticed some Japanese Beetles

munching on some FOC leaves. Came back later, and they didn't look too healthy, and actually dropped off! I verified online that: "Four o’clocks: Attract but poison Japanese beetle." Source: http://www.mnn.com/your-home/organic-farming-gardening. Now, seems to me some clever scientist person might study the properties of the FOC to perhaps come up with a way to get rid of JB's in large numbers efficiently. Anyway, FOC's are not hardy to my region but I dig up and keep the large tubers, just like I do with dahlias, and replant them in the spring. works every time. Storing them is way less fussy than dahlias - they are tough brown things that look like rats with long tails LOL. Growing from seed is also very easy.
