We need pictures and IMO this is not where you should be if there is no protection for the dog most condo or apt. buildings will not allow you to make a fence.

Maybe the condo will allow for a bamboo fence, but you'll have to ensure your dog can't get underneath or push it down, so it will have to be well secured. It will also give you some privacy.

I will post pictures when i get home i am at work. And they have underground dog fences my parents have used them for years and i was thinking about that and laying the fake grass ontop. or i was thninking of a fence like the one below not a very big one and it can be taken down.

It's very difficult for me to envision this patio without at least some measurements. You say it's only big enough for two chairs and a table, then you say you want to add "stuff for your dog." You talk about putting astroturf between the patio and the sidewalk; how big is this area?

I will start by saying you should plan on two chairs and a table taking up at least 12 square ft of space. You also need to know whether the apartment will allow you to enclose the space. They might allow wireless pet enclosure, but actual fences are another thing. They are considered real property, so can't be taken with you when you leave.

Moveable screens are yours to take when you move; cost ranges from $100 to $400 for most. These are intended for privacy screening, not to completely enclose a space. Any furniture and accessories that face a public area are at risk for theft by nefarious passersby.

There is the patio and then there is a small area that is just dirt and rocks between my patio and sidewalk and that is where i'll put it. And like i said i'll put pictures up when i am home i'm at work at the moment. As well as measurements. Like i said before the area for fake grass is off the patio and between my patio and the side walk. I would do an underwire encluser for the dog, or a baby fence kind of thing like the picture i posted above which is removeable.
