Most pictures of rooms that catch my eye are the ones done by Michael Abrams. I like the large upholstered headboard. Cream colors with dark woods and pretty drapes. Unfortunately the brown leather Lazy boy in the corner must stay. I want a modern and comfortable look. Perhaps dark wood nigh stands or maybe mirrored .... Full length mirror and drapery to finish off the room.

This is a designers dream bedroom. I see light tan sheer's and an opportunity for a drastic pop of color somewhere. Go taller on the lamps, maybe with the pop of color being in the shades...I agree with JWinteriors on everything else.

Also, this photo was taken with an iPhone using panorama so the tres ceiling appears crooked.

Consider custom build/upholstering a great big headboard, close to the height of the windows; its shape, and the fabric of course, would be determined by the style of your new decor (square top, round top, scalloped top, etc.). It can set this room decor in motion. Few people can make mismatched bedside lamps and tables work, so I suggest you replace them with matched pairs, and LARGER than what you have. The bed skirt needs repositioning, so that it is evenly down to the floor. If that's not possible, replace it or perhaps just add a border to it.

looks nice - large bedroom. cedar fence planks for the headboard and the windows would look great if you put on some custom shutters. a shelf above the windows would be a nice place for a few ceramic pieces

I started to post a couple of ideas but saw them in your ideabook. I love a green bedroom - mine is and it is very restful. Everyone comments on the soothing color, so you're off to a great start.

Beautiful, just add a headboard, a furnished wood crate in front, deep rich wood end tables at each side, drapes and symetrical gold lamps on each side! a regal mirror on back wall, a throw rug and accent pillows will add much more... adding red pillows/drapes will make is rich and hearty, like a castle. and match that corner chair. A lighter green like pix above will give it a calming, earthy look with white hanging lights! best o' luck
