Shutters on ALL windows???

Hi y'all. Do you think it would be weird to have wood color plantation wide louver shutters on just the three windows behind the sofa and none on three windows on the back wall behind the two chairs? Maybe put decorative curtain panel on the ends framing out those three to finish it off? Also, theres the window near the kitchen table. Should that have a shutter too? I was actually thinking of having a roman shade made for this window using the same fabric that was used in the hallway panels (picture attached so you can get the gist). It's all kind of open to each other. Right now there are temporary blinds on the three windows I want to do shutters on, just to cut down on the glare on the TV. Thanks for your input and ignoring the mess! Oh and don't laugh at the chargers hanging on the wall, they're just to give me an idea on what larger round indian baskets would look like hanging there! LOL :)

Not understanding the "dark cave" comment. Those interior shutters usually can be opened all the way, or just let some light in by adjusting the louvers.

BTW, wise idea to have a dog that matches your couch.

I think if the shutters were consistent along one wall that would be fine. I don't think you have room for shutters on the windows to the right of the fireplace and would leave them as is. Do you need a covering for the window near the dining table? If not, I'd leave that one alone too.

flopsycat, i wondered that too. i was afraid it would make it too dark there, plus i don't really need them there and it's a really pretty view.

flopsycat, the window by table sort of needs one. In the winter the sun comes through that window around dinner time, it's not too bad, but might be nice to have. do you think if i put shutters on the three behind sofa i should do something to finish off windows behind chairs?

I don't think you need to cover the windows behind the two chairs unless privacy is an issue. The view is beautiful. Your Roman shade idea is a good one. You could leave the shade up to bring light in, and bring it down to block the winter sun from the dining table when necessary.

I would keep the window coverings the same since they are in the same room... either shutter or woven wood roman shades.

Ugh, why are you making your house a dark cave with shutters. You have the most beautiful view, not a neighbor in sight. Why? Just say NO!!! I know there is this urge to cover things, get an intervention & fight the urge!! Beautiful room, leave it with less not more!!!!!!

You can have the Windows treated with UV film if fading is an issue.

Lmao! The view from the bottom half of the windows behind the sofas is actually of the inside our our outdoor kitchen, as nice as it is, I don't want to see Ginny's dirty grill! Plus the glare is really bad from those windows. I liked that shutters give partial blockage but still let me close them. Do you it would still make it dark with the really wide lovers and leaving the back windows open?
