The headboards are the art. You could paint the wall behind them the turquoise color and they would stand out beautifully. Pick up color in pillows. That would be really nice.

I'm not sure that you do need art. The headboards are a statement. If anything, I would go with small round mirrors. A nicer lamp or a rug to layer under the beds would be a better investment.

I like the idea of painting the wall behind the headboards. If you want art, I would add a piece on the side wall over the bed.

If you go to the beach in Fla. or otherwise, that added turquoise would inspire...

Like the turquoise behind the beds. You could also use turquoise in a fabric canopy, like this photo. The lamp and beige shade don't seem to go with the bedding. Add some artwork on the side walls. It would help to have the bed frame completely hidden by a dust ruffle, etc. Also fasten the lamp cord so it isn't laying on the floor -- A twistie works well for that.

Two options come to mind:

Option 1 - Change the lamp and get a smaller one with two heads (directional for each bed) and have a long portrait mirror centered between the headboards.

Option 2 - Get a wall mural, something like a tropical rainforest. This would look really cool with the tribal looking headboards contrasting with the modern colours of the duvet and pillows.

I'm sure you'll make the smart decision, mine are just options for if you want something different and you're feeling brave!

Thank you so much for all the great ideas the canopy , the torquoise wall , and Beverly for the photo shop. I bought the headboards at a place in Naples, FL called West Indies home collection . They were about $500 each . Thank you for the umbrella art for the other wall. And the suggestion of the two lamps with the mirror, great ideasLove!
